Our Missionary Daniel Jang in Iloilo City, Philippines reports that “Typhoon Nalgae struck the Philippines this week, and around 120 people died from the storm. All our churches are safe, but many church people’s houses were flooded.” News reports state that Nalgae lashed the Philippines with extreme rainfall causing landslides and flooding, making it among the season’s deadliest and most destructive storms to hit the island nation. The typhoon moved through the Philippines the last days of October 2022. The Missions Ministry Team has responded by sending $2,000 US dollars to the CP Council of Churches to be used to help families impacted by the flooding.
