“It’s awful,” said Silverdale Cumberland Presbyterian Church pastor the Reverend Cliff Hudson, “At least nine of our families suffered severe damage and most [are] still without power.” Silverdale CPC is a congregation of Tennessee-Georgia Presbytery located in the Chattanooga suburbs. At least one EF-3 tornado struck the area on Sunday night, April 12, 2020. “We are dealing with it best we can,” Hudson concluded.

Chattanooga First CPC, Tennessee

The Reverend Courtney Krueger, pastor of Chattanooga First Cumberland Presbyterian Church(Tennessee-Georgia Presbytery), that several church members suffered property damage when severe thunderstorms and at least one EF-3 tornado struck Southeast Tennessee and North Georgia on Sunday night, April 12, 2020. Krueger knew of no injuries within his congregation and the church building was undamaged. However, several church members in an assisted living center had to be evacuated to a local hotel.
