July 23, 2020, Tennessee Governor Bill Lee announced the “Face It, Masks Fight COVID-19” public service announcement campaign designed to encourage Tennesseans to wear protective face masks when in public situations. The campaign launched the next day and is running on “broadcast and cable television, digital, social media, print, and billboards” statewide.
November 18, 2020, the “Face It” campaign released their “farmer” video, a 30 second television spot. In that advertisement, the Poplar Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Halls, Tennessee, West Tennessee Presbytery, makes a cameo appearance. The “star” of the video, however, is Ronald “Ronnie” Roberts, a member and elder at Poplar Grove.
