Memphis, November 15, 2021: The Missions Ministry Team (MMT) is pleased to announce that the Reverend Rebecca Zahrte has accepted the call to be the new full-time Director of Ministry with Women. For the last four years, Becky has served as pastor of two Cumberland Presbyterian churches (Madisonville First in Madisonville, KY, and Rose Creek in Nebo, KY.) Becky has a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Ashford University, a Master of Science in Organizational Communication from Murray State University, and she graduated from the Program of Alternate Studies of Memphis Theological Seminary. Becky has done several projects for the denomination and has served as an elected member of the Discipleship Ministry Team.
As Director of Ministry with Women, Becky will give leadership to all women in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in a wide variety of ministry opportunities. The goal is to see more women in leadership, more women serving congregations, more diversity of women in leadership roles, and additional younger women involved in ministries and leadership.
Becky will begin her new role on January 4, 2022, and will office from Madisonville, KY. Becky is excited about this new ministry saying, “I am highly motivated and pray that my skills gleaned from my years in customer service will add to my ability to fill this role.”

Dr. Lynn Thomas, Global Ministries; Jinger Ellis, Manager, Finance and Administration; Rev. Kristi Lounsbury, Congregational Ministries, and Rev. Rebecca Zahrte, Ministry with Women. We are excited to welcome Becky to the MMT.
