The Reverend Jerrell Morris Underwood, Sr., 85, of Irvington, Kentucky, died April 11, 2022. Jerrell, an honorably retired member of Cumberland Presbytery, was born July 14, 1936, in Fulton, Kentucky, to G.A. and Willene Underwood. He met Lavesta Sue Britton at a church social and they married on November 24, 1955, while Jerrell was a student at Bethel College (now Bethel University) in McKenzie, Tennessee. Jerrell was ordained a Cumberland Presbyterian Minister in 1960. He went on to earn his master’s degree in Theology from Vanderbilt University in 1974.
