The Reverend Aaron Holmes, 88, of Atwood, Tennessee, an honorably retired minister of West Tennessee Presbytery, died August 1, 2021. Aaron was born August 4, 1932, in Atwood, Tennessee. He graduated from Milan High School and then Bethel College (now Bethel University) in McKenzie, Tennessee, with a degree in education. He worked at Milan Army Ammunition Plant for 38 years. He served as Pastor at three small Cumberland Presbyterian Churches for 40 years including Cloverdale, New Hope, and Pilgrim’s Rest. During Retirement Aaron drove the school bus for Milan and West Carroll schools. He enjoyed woodworking, gospel singing, raising cattle, farming, and spending time with his family and friends.
