The Board of Christian Education following multiple discussions and in light the COVID-19 pandemic and the absolute necessity to maintain the health and safety of the summer campers and summer camp staff has voted to suspend all scheduled camps for the 2020 Presbytery of East Tennessee summer camping season at both Camp Chilhowee and Camp John Speer.

The camps affected include:

• Junior Camp at Camp Chilhowee – Sunday, May 31 through Friday, June 5
• Junior Camp at Camp John Speer – Sunday, June 7 through Thursday, June 11
• Middle School Camp at Camp Chilhowee – Sunday, June 7 through Friday, June 12
• Middle school Camp at Camp John Speer – Sunday, July 5 through Thursday, July 9
• High School Camp at Camp Chilhowee – Sunday, June 14 through Friday, June 19
• High School Camp at Camp John Speer – Sunday, June 21 through Thursday, June 25
