Tennessee State Parks announced December 20, 2022, that trail maps for the entire state park system, including Montgomery Bell which surrounds the Cumberland Presbyterian Birthplace Shrine, are available for free use with the Avenza Maps® app for iPhone or Android devices. Trail Pack Supporters, a group of hiking enthusiasts, provided the funds to make the maps available. The  app uses GPS location tracking so it works even when when a hiker doesn’t have cell phone service. The user’s location moves in real-time on the map as long as a device has power. No purchase is required for any map of the Tennessee State Park system. Other maps can be purchased through the app.
