Mary Katherine King

Mary Katherine Gonce King, 74, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, died August 17, 2020. She was organist for the Bowling Green Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Cumberland Presbytery) for over three decades.

She was born in Florence, Alabama, to Jack and Carrie Gonce on June 18, 1946. Mary Katherine learned to play the organ at an early age and was playing in local churches by her early teens. She married her high-school sweetheart Harry M. King, Sr., and they had two children, Harry King, Jr., and William Jackson King. The family moved to Bowling Green in 1980.
