Dr. Linda “June” Morton, 78, died in Florida August 31, 2021. She was from Nashville, Tennessee, and was a member of the West Nashville Cumberland Presbyterian Church. She was a Trustee of Memphis Theological Seminary and a member of the Civil Air Patrol.

June graduated from West End High School in Nashville before attending George Peabody College from which she graduated in 1964. She received a degree in educational administration from Peabody in 1976 and completed a doctoral program at Nashville’s Vanderbilt University in 1991. She taught music at Apollo Junior High and directed the music department at McGavock High School where she was also Assistant Principal. She retired as an administrator for Metro Nashville Public Schools.
