June Prentiss Johnson, 95, of Longview, Texas, died December 23, 2022. She was born into a Cumberland Presbyterian family in a small farmhouse near Bertram, Texas on December 4, 1927, graduated from Bertram High School in 1945, and from Texas State College for Women in Denton, Texas, (now Texas Woman’s University) in 1951. After a varied and colorful career, she moved into her beloved home on Choctaw Street in Longview where she lived for 40 years. She was a long-time member of Longview Cumberland Presbyterian Church (now New Journey).
