Jessica Clark, 31, a member of and nursery worker for the First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Cookeville, Tennessee (Murfreesboro Presbytery), died in the E4 tornado which struck Cookeville early on March 3, 2020.
Hundreds of people were lined out the door of First Cumberland Presbyterian Church to honor the life of a young woman who gave her all for Putnam County.
“For everyone in this room and for everyone who couldn’t make it into this room, it has been a long dark week,” said Reverend Christian Smith. “But it has been especially dark for this family who experienced great and unexpected loss.”
“Today, they are humbled and in awe of the love and support they have received since Tuesday.”
Lost to last week’s tornado, Jessica Clark, 31, was remembered by those who loved her as a woman who would do anything for others and the ones she loved.
“We come to celebrate Jessica Rector Clark and the mark she made in each of our lives,” Smith said.
