Ivan Dale Byford, 84, of Alabaster, Alabama, died November 12, 2020. Ivan was born in Peoria, Illinois, but moved to Birmingham where he lived until moving to Alabaster in 1992. Ivan and wife Pat had been members of Homewood Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Birmingham, Alabama (Grace Presbytery), but were members of Third Presbyterian Church of Birmingham (Evangel Presbytery, PCA) at the time of his death.

Ivan’s son, the Reverend Ken Byford, is pastor of Piedmont Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Piedmont, Alabama (Grace Presbytery). Ivan’s grandson, the Reverend Matthew Ingram, is pastor of First Cumberland Presbyterian in Alabaster, Alabama (Robert Donnell Presbytery). Ivan’s daughter, Debby Ingram, and her husband, Ben, are active in Spring Creek Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Montevallo, Alabama, and in Grace Presbytery. Ben is session clerk at Spring Creek.
