According to the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), the eyewall of Hurricane Ian made landfall at Florida’s Sanibel and Captiva Islands at approximately 12:00 noon CDT September 28, 2022. The center if Ian is still located off the west coast of Florida in the Gulf of Mexico and is moving North/Northeast at nine miles per hour.
