The First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Greenville, Muhlenberg County, Kentucky (Cumberland Presbytery), has closed their historic building over safety concerns after problems were found during renovations. Contractors found problems with support beams on the roof in September 2019. Church services have been moved to the church annex next door. Church representatives are meeting with contractors, architects, and engineers to find the best option for the Romanesque revival building which was built in 1890s. It is located in Greenville’s South Cherry Street Historic District. The district was added to the National Register of Historic Places August 15, 1985.
