George Cicero Mays, 83, of Greeneville, Tennessee, died April 23, 2022. He was currently serving as treasurer of the Presbytery of East Tennessee. George attended Gass Memorial Cumberland Presbyterian Church from 1946 until it closed. There he served as an elder, clerk, and treasurer for more than 30 years. He then attended Greeneville Cumberland Presbyterian Church where he again served as an elder. He was a professor at the University of Tennessee from 1966-1999.
