Dear Friends in Mission, We have been asked to return to Waverly, TN where the flooding was a year and half ago. They still have around 35 or so houses which need either repairing or rebuilding. Many of you have been there on an earlier trip, and well know the extent of damage. We will be hosted most graciously by the Methodist Church, which has a nice kitchen, large eating/meeting area, and plenty of space for setting up our cots and/or mattresses. In addition, they have shower trailers at the church now. We will be working with the Inspiritus folks, who have done a great job in managing the needs and work there.
Please give prayer and consideration to making this trip, as these folks have been out of their homes for a long time now. As always, we can use anyone and everyone, irrespective of skill level (or, for some of us, having less youth and vigor). There will be a cost of meals, $60 for the week. For any who can, an additional contribution for incidental expenses would be appreciated. However, we do have some contributions which can cover any costs that someone may not be able to afford. So do not let that be an impediment if you are wiling to help.
