Reflect
This passage reminds us of the importance of confession and belief in Jesus Christ. To be saved, we declare with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead. These two actions are intimately connected, for our confession with our mouths is a reflection of the belief in our hearts.
We not only believe in Jesus Christ. We also confess our faith in Him to others. When we do so, we are not only proclaiming our belief in Jesus, but we are also inviting others to share in the same saving grace that we have received.
Furthermore, this passage reminds us that our faith is not just an intellectual belief, but it is a matter of the heart. When we believe in our hearts, we are justified before God. Our belief in Jesus Christ leads to our salvation and transforms us from the inside out.
So let us confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord and believe in our hearts that God raised him from the dead. Through this confession and belief, we can experience the fullness of salvation and live transformed lives that reflect the love and grace of Jesus Christ.
Pray
God, you have fully redeemed Your people and the world. Help us to live in the fullness of Your victory. Amen
Go with God.
