You will hear different arguments of whether Jesus wanted them to really keep quiet, or if it was His plan to spread the news of the healing. I tend to think it is insanely hard to keep quiet about news like this.   Just the other day I saw a lady who has struggled with mobility issues for over a year often having to use crutches to walk and even when she doesn’t, she is creeping along because of the pain. Her child in fifth grade at a Christian school brought it up to the teacher and all the children prayed about 9:45 AM and about 10 AM she was healed.  She was jumping up and down after school I ran into her and she ran me down and told me she had to tell me about what God had done for her.  With tears in her eyes, she proclaimed the goodness of God as she hopped up and down which she has not been able to do in over a year.  When we are truly delivered, we can’t help but tell somebody.  There is a song by Don Francisco called “I Got to Tell Somebody” and it is the story of Jairus and his daughter. How could someone who gets delivered not want to tell somebody?
