Reflect

We have heard the expression that every cloud has a silver lining.  We see the surface of the cloud as dark and imposing. The silver lining is the presence of the light of the sun above the cloud.

When looking at the surface of the dilemma we have, it can be challenging, discouraging, and depressing.  The silver lining is the presence and action of God involved in the dark time in our lives.  It is the light of the Son producing hope that this too shall pass.

Churches struggle to keep their doors open with small numbers in congregations and difficulty balancing the budget.  Christ established the church, and the saints are the ones who persevere in quiet confidence in the hope of Christ. In so doing, we honor the one who gives us hope and established his church in us.
