What a beautiful picture is described in this scripture of the legacy of faith that is passed down through generations of believers! It is awe-inspiring to ponder the faithfulness of those who have gone before us (family members, or those who have influenced our faith journey) and to see but a small glimpse of the impact their faith has had on us and others.

I feel incredibly blessed to attend church where my great-grandparents attended. In my lifetime, I have experienced a span of five generations of my family members in the same sanctuary—in fact, on the same pew. And I know the faith legacy goes well beyond that. It is profound the impact that the faith of my family members has had on my life and my relationship with Jesus.
