Reflect

Every time I read Psalm 138, I am drawn back to the very first line:  I will praise You with my whole heart.   In the last few years, my heart has been full of joy, shattered, splintered into dust, filled with hope, and is still being remolded into something new. I have had to learn to trust God in the unknown because His plan never fails. I have withheld parts of me from worship and praise trying to protect what little control I think I have.   When I cried out, God answered me. In giving ALL to Him…every tiny broken piece…the sharp jagged pieces and the dull-edged pieces…true freedom is found. Freedom to be who God has called me to be.   Freedom to join the work He has invited me to do.   Great IS the glory of the Lord!

Pray

Precious Father, forgive me for withholding pieces of my heart…pieces of my life…from You. I confess there are pieces that continue to grip tightly. Some of them I don’t even realize I am withholding. Reveal them to me.   Help me to remember that You are for me.   No matter what I feel, or what the world tells me, You are FOR me. Hallelujah!
