your God, O Zion, for all generations.

Reflect
For most of us ‘forever’ is incomprehensible. Honestly, if we think about it, how can we understand what ‘forever’ means when we are created with ‘time’ being our greatest concern? We number our hours, days, weeks, months, and years. This is how we find meaning and definition to our existence. How can we understand eternity other than to admit that it is something without beginning or end?
Acknowledging God’s eternal nature is a recurring theme in the Psalms. Did the psalmists understand eternity and God’s being from everlasting to everlasting any more than we do? No, I do not believe the psalmists were even referring to time, rather the fact that God exists outside of our understanding and what we consider existence. Yet, we understand that we are children of God and exist under the Divine hand of the creator. Knowing that, knowing that our Father dwells in great, incomprehensible wonder and majesty should be enough to embolden us on our journey. For what father would withhold any good thing from his child?
So, today’s challenge is to hold your head high and know that your Father is the greatest Father of all time. Go through your day knowing that God’s eternal, never-ending, and unfathomable love is around you and in you. Pause and take a moment to realize just who you are in the eyes of God! I guarantee you, it will be a game-changer.
Pray
Almighty God, You’re ways are higher than our ways, and Your thoughts higher than our thoughts. Thank you for revealing Your great love for us in Jesus Christ. Amen
