How many times are we like Elijah?  We have an amazing mountaintop experience and then the next day, we are scared and ready for the Lord to take us!  He had an amazing experience with God in I Kings 18 but got scared of Queen Jezebel and here we are in I Kings 19:4-8, depressed and ready to die. But oh, how amazing our God is!!!

            When we are in need, God Himself ministers to us!  God provided shade for Elijah, meals for Elijah, water for Elijah and rest for Elijah while he was in the wilderness!  God Himself provided all that Elijah needed to get him through his hard time, and it gave Elijah the strength to go and seek God on the mountain once again!  How beautiful is that?!!  Elijah got to taste and see that the LORD is good even when he had his moment of weakness! 

            God is always ready to take care of us!  God desires to take care of us!  God simply loves us regardless of how we feel!  We often are ready to throw in the towel because of people and/or circumstances, but God fills us up and put us back on our journey that He has marked out for us to take! Oh, how God loves us all! 

            Next time you see a brother or sister in need, be an imitator of God and show him or her, love and meet his or her needs! Be patient and be kind but most of all, be loving during his or her darkest hour!
