How weary we can grow in helping others!  I have been in the ministry for over 20 years, and there are days when I think, “I cannot give anymore, God, I am just dry.”  Then I feel guilty because I absolutely love ministry.  I am dry because I have not allowed God to fill my cup. I have been relying on my own strength and not His.

            God calls us to “Carry each other’s burdens and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2. God did not say carry them by ourselves.  He tells us to carry them together and with His help, we can do all things.

            When we sow the compassion of Christ to one another, then we will reap the compassion of Christ in our own lives.  It is so tempting to be like the world and sow into the worthless things. But God has called us into a better life and that better life requires sowing to please the Spirit versus sowing to please the flesh.  The flesh says, “It is all about me!!!”  while the Spirit says, “It is all about Me and furthering the Kingdom of God!!!”.  When we listen to the Spirit and sow to please Him, our Brothers and Sisters in Christ benefit as well as us!  We are no longer dry, but our cups are overflowing!

            Brothers and Sisters, we do not have time to give up!  We have opportunities every day to be filled with the Holy Spirit, do good through the power of the Holy Spirit, and reap a harvest through the Holy Spirit! What an awesome life we live when we serve God and His Kingdom!  Stay connected in Him and with one another!
