Focus
Let yourself become open to God and the knowledge that comes from the Word. Ask God for peace at this time.

9 God’s love was revealed among us in this way: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might live through him. 10 In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice for our sins.
Reflect
There are three types of learners in the world: auditory learners (they prefer to hear a sermon or a lecture) visual learners (they prefer to read articles and look at charts and graphs), and kinetic learners (they prefer to learn by hands-on experience). Jesus taught His disciples in all of these ways. Jesus preached sermons and told parables for auditory learners. He allowed his disciples to see him heal the sick and cast out demons, and in Matthew 10, he commissioned some of his followers to cast out demons and heal the sick like Him so they can get hands-on experience.
God sent Jesus as the primary example of love to us. He came and died to make an atoning sacrifice for our sins so that we could be made right with God, and in being made right with God we can give our lives in service to others so they can also see Jesus as the primary example of love.
Pray
O Gracious Redeemer, forgive us where we have failed You, and cause our faith to work by love toward You who have died for our sin, toward our fellow believers, and toward our fellow men. In Your holy name we pray, Amen.
Go with God!
