Reflect
Have you ever been asked to wait outside while a group went into executive session, or your supervisor has a talk about you to his/her supervisor, or even as a child waiting outside the principal’s office while he/she speaks with your parents? That feeling must be similar to what the Apostles felt. Thankfully, the Apostles kept the faith, trusted the Lord, and the Holy Spirit saved them.
In today’s world, we may not face flogging for our faith, but we face other obstacles. As an elder, I assisted recently the sound and projection team produce a live stream on social media. The team and I were nervous if the new tools we deployed were going to work. In fact, the first Sunday that we used a new streaming website, we could not get any sound because of a muted microphone. We are nervous if we are going to be able to continue with this “new” way of streaming even though it will provide a much more enjoyable virtual worship service. We will. Why? Because we want to continue spreading the gospel as God has instructed us.
This is a common theme throughout scriptures, wait on the Lord, there may be obstacles, but the Lord is on our side. He will see that his will is accomplished.
Pray
Heavenly Father, help us to keep the faith and wait for your will to come to fruition. We may not understand what you may have in mind for our future, but give us the strength and courage to keep the path as we listen for your instructions, In Jesus’ name, Amen.
Go with God!
