10 He was in the world, and the world came into being through him; yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him. 12 But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood or of the will of the flesh or of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word became flesh and lived among us, and we have seen his glory, the glory as of a father’s only son, full of grace and truth. 15 (John testified to him and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, ‘He who comes after me ranks ahead of me because he was before me.’”) 16 From his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 The law indeed was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God. It is God the only Son, who is close to the Father’s heart, who has made him known.
Reflect
In today’s text John 1:10-18, we see that Jesus has come into the world and those who see him did not even know it was him. The word of God tells us that not even his own people would listen to him or receive him. Now for those who did receive and trust him received the right to be reborn as children of God.
Now just for a moment, I want us to think about how we as humans beings have the gift of choice. You see God will not make or force us to accept Jesus Christ. He gives us the choice to accept him or not. However, the choice that we pick will determine our reward in the end.
Life is filled with choices, which no one can truly deny. However, the best and most important choice you have to make is accepting Jesus Christ. Remember none of the things we gain here on earth will go to our final destination with us. Your final destination will be heaven or hell, and it’s up to you to decide which one you want.
Only those who accept Jesus Christ and are reborn will enter heaven. Where we can enjoy life to the fullest for eternity. Those who deny Jesus Christ will enter hell. Where you will suffer for eternity. The choice is yours ladies and gentlemen, will you accept Jesus Christ or deny him this day?
Pray
Thank you God for your word today. Thank you for dying for our sins so we can experience heaven one day with you. Thank you for making your word a guide for the requirements of getting into heaven. We thank you in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen
Go with God!
