10 Finally, be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his power. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. 12 For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places. 13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, so that you may be able to withstand on that evil day, and having done everything, to stand firm. 14 Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness.
Reflect
What does putting on the full armor of God really mean? When we put on the armor of God we are building our relationship with God. By doing this we are praying more and maturity is increasing in our prayer life. Secondly, we are reading the word of God in depth which is increasing our studying and learning of the word of God.
After we do these things we begin to apply the word of God to our own life. Our walk is different just the same with the way we talk. Spending time with God allows us to prepare for the fight to come against the devil.
When the devil comes to defeat you he will have to flee. The reason is that you will be able to fight the devil off with the word of God. Having on the full armor of God means living out the word of God in front of those around you. And when the devil tries to get you to go against the word of God you can tell him to flee. Because the whole armor of God will grant you enough strength to fight against the devil and win. So if you feel defeated pray, read and study the word of God. So you can put on the full armor of God and gain the victory in Jesus’ name.
Pray
Dear heavenly father thank you for your word today. Please grant us the strength to read, study and pray over your word daily. So that we gain put on the full armor of God, and gain the victory over the attacks from the devil. In the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit Amen.
