We have all been “dirtied” by a new “plague” called COVID19. Those of us blessed to not get it has not escaped it, as it has passed among people that we love, or people of people that we love. As I write this, there is the promise of a new vaccine, or vaccines, ready to be delivered out to the masses. Some people are already feeling the sighs of relief, or at least the wind of good change. But God has given all of us not just a vaccine, but a cure; a cure for a disease that is deadlier than COVID19-the disease of self and sin. And the cure isn’t given through a needle. Our perfect remedy is a man, not a liquid. The old ‘70’s “contemporary” song sings that “Jesus is the answer for the world today, above Him there’s no other, Jesus is the way.” But consider this: God can make you really clean and give you a new spirit, a genuinely new “you.” And the cure from God’s love brings immediate healing and lasts forever; the peace that comes when you receive that “cure” is like no other relief you will ever get. And we can receive that cure right where we stand, by asking God to receive the gift of God’s love, salvation. And we become “perfectly” clean and whole again.
