Psalm 133
A Song of Ascents.
1 How very good and pleasant it is
when kindred live together in unity!
2 It is like the precious oil on the head,
running down upon the beard,
on the beard of Aaron,
running down over the collar of his robes.
3 It is like the dew of Hermon,
which falls on the mountains of Zion.
For there the Lord ordained his blessing,
life forevermore.
Reflect
Unity, a very important part of being in the church. For God to see the church united it is a good and pleasant sight. It is something we should seek.
The church should be a unified force to face the trials of this life. How often, we have been in a church that lacks unity. It really does not take long for a visitor to pick up on the divisions of the church. This clique likes this. That clique likes that.
Yet, a united church can be a force of change. It can change not just the community where it is planted but its town and even a geographical area. That is why I believe God sees unity as a good pleasant thing.
Pray
O Lord our God, we pray for unity in our church. That we may be unified in what we agree upon and not separated in what we disagree on. Amen!
Go with God!
