Focus
Prepare yourself to discern what is and what is not of God today. Still yourself so you can hear how God is calling you.

Mark 10:32-34 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
They were on the road, going up to Jerusalem, and Jesus was walking ahead of them; they were amazed, and those who followed were afraid. He took the twelve aside again and began to tell them what was to happen to him, saying, “See, we are going up to Jerusalem, and the Son of Man will be handed over to the chief priests and the scribes, and they will condemn him to death; then they will hand him over to the Gentiles; they will mock him, and spit upon him, and flog him, and kill him; and after three days he will rise again.”
Reflect
In Mark 8:31-38 Jesus tells the disciples that he would be rejected, suffer, and be killed by the elders, chief priest, and scribes. Jesus follows up this information with the call to pick up their cross and follow him to that way.
Then in Mark 9:30-32 Jesus repeats that he would be betrayed and killed. Then a third time, here in our text today, Jesus again repeats that he will be rejected, flogged, mocked, spit upon, and killed.
We are coming up to Palm/Passion Sunday. We are probably already thinking about our Easter plans…but slow down. Use this week to think about the call of following Christ. Ressurection only happens after death. In our text, the disciples were amazed and afraid. How about you? Are you amazed and frightened or are you just preparing for Easter Dinner?
Pray
Lord Christ, let me connect with your love and passion. Help me to be amazed of your love and passion, but maybe lead me to a place that might scare me, but be with me so that I have the strength to follow. Amen
Go with God!
