Let yourself become open to God and the knowledge that comes from the Word. Ask God for peace at this time.

1 Corinthians 1:1-9 New Revised Standard Version (NRSV)
Paul, called to be an apostle of Christ Jesus by the will of God, and our brother Sosthenes,
To the church of God that is in Corinth, to those who are sanctified in Christ Jesus, called to be saints, together with all those who in every place call on the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, both their Lord and ours:
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
I give thanks to my God always for you because of the grace of God that has been given you in Christ Jesus, for in every way you have been enriched in him, in speech and knowledge of every kind— just as the testimony of Christ has been strengthened among you— so that you are not lacking in any spiritual gift as you wait for the revealing of our Lord Jesus Christ. He will also strengthen you to the end, so that you may be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is faithful; by him you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.
Reflect
This scripture, called a salutation and thanksgiving, reminds us that we are to be perpetually thankful unto God, in and for all things, and all our brethren.
I love reading the revelations and writings of Paul, imperfect and full of sin, yet assigned by God and called by the resurrected Jesus himself as an apostle. I referenced by to the Road to Damascus vision. God can do great things in earthen vessels when we accept, by faith, the role the Lord would have us fulfill in the church, and even in the world.
My soul is prompted to shout THANK YOU GOD!! How you have equipped me, and my brethren, with spiritual gifts, talents, abilities, skills, opportunities, and promises.
With all we have been provided, neither is for either of us. I am resolved, as is affirmed in verse 5, we are ‘enriched in every way’ that is relevant to God’s purpose and plan, so we are not lacking, that we are confirmed in our ‘testimony’ not only about Christ, but the Christ that now lives and thrives in the Christian believer…keeping us steadfast, always abounding, resilient, and excited with each new day of brand new mercies.
My MAIN POINTS:
1. God is my God, and is God of every Christian believer,
2. God is faithful,
3. God has equipped us,
4. God makes it easy for us to be grateful for calling us, ‘into fellowship’ with Jesus,
5. We, Christian believers, can fully become/establish a godly church.
Pray
Thank you, most gracious, loving, and generous God who overrides, and disqualifies the wiles of the enemy, his imps and angels of darkness. I have received all you have provided, that you be glorified, and your people edified. May all who are struggling with surrendering unto you accept your revelation for their lives, that they come to know peace and joy. It is in the name of your Son, my savior, and my Lord that I pray, Amen.
Go with God!
