Focus
Slow your breathing and become aware of the taking in and letting out of your breath. Focus on putting things aside so you will be open to what God is saying to you today.

Psalm 145:10-18 (NRSV)
All your works shall give thanks to you, O LORD,
and all your faithful shall bless you.
They shall speak of the glory of your kingdom,
and tell of your power,
to make known to all people your mighty deeds,
and the glorious splendor of your kingdom.
Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures throughout all generations.
The LORD is faithful in all his words,
and gracious in all his deeds.
The LORD upholds all who are falling,
and raises up all who are bowed down.
The eyes of all look to you,
and you give them their food in due season.
You open your hand,
satisfying the desire of every living thing.
The LORD is just in all his ways,
and kind in all his doings.
The LORD is near to all who call on him,
to all who call on him in truth.
Reflect
There’s a movie that was released a few years back called God’s Not Dead. Some of you may have seen it. In the film, two pastors have a saying that they like to use when they see God at work in the world: “God is good, all the time. And all the time, God is good.” That’s what this psalm is about.
We need to remember that through it all, God is good. No matter how bad things may seem or how much life isn’t going our way, God is always there to lift us back up. That’s why we are called to, speak the glory of God’s kingdom. We might be the only exposure to God and God’s immeasurable love that someone ever receives.
Remembering that God is with us also gives us comfort. Knowing that God has our back is priceless, as is helping someone else to accept God’s love. But in order to share God’s gifts with others, we first have to trust in God. God is always faithful, so we should be faithful to as well. “The Lord is near to all who call on him, to all who call on him in truth.” God is waiting for us to seek God; all we have to do is trust.
Pray
Dear God, thank you for always having our backs and being our biggest ally. Help us to trust in you when we live in a world where trust is so often betrayed. Help us to remember that we are never alone and you will always be there to lift our hearts. Help us to show others your glory. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.
Go with God.
