Focus
Slow your breathing and become aware of the taking in and letting out of your breath. Focus on putting things aside so you will be open to what God is saying to you today.

Psalm 50:1-6 (NRSV)
The mighty one, God the LORD,
speaks and summons the earth
from the rising of the sun to its setting.
Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God shines forth.
Our God comes and does not keep silence,
before him is a devouring fire,
and a mighty tempest all around him.
He calls to the heavens above
and to the earth, that he may judge his people:
“Gather to me my faithful ones,
who made a covenant with me by sacrifice!”
The heavens declare his righteousness,
for God himself is judge. Selah
Reflect
What a burden is lifted from my soul, knowing I do not have to worry about making a judgment against my fellow Christians, my loved ones, or those who may not have come to know Christ as Lord thus far.
In a recent conversation with my brother, the topic turned to who was doing what wrong. After a minute I said, “But aren’t you glad it is not our job to judge or even blame anyone? Isn’t it wonderful that we can be relieved of that burden and go about our daily lives without the heavy weight of judging others around our necks? Isn’t it grand that we can spend all of our energy loving people because God took this burden from us?” He literally breathed a sigh of relief.
Pray
God, guard our hearts from making judgments against others. Fill our hearts with loving kindness. Help us to use the energy gained from not carrying the burden of judging others to do more good work for you. Amen.
Go with God.
