Focus
Slow your breathing and become aware of the taking in and letting out of your breath. Focus on putting things aside so you will be open to what God is saying to you today.

Psalm 105:1-11 (NRSV)
O give thanks to the LORD, call on his name,
make known his deeds among the peoples.
Sing to him, sing praises to him;
tell of all his wonderful works.
Glory in his holy name;
let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice.
Seek the LORD and his strength;
seek his presence continually.
Remember the wonderful works he has done,
his miracles, and the judgments he has uttered,
O offspring of his servant Abraham,[a]
children of Jacob, his chosen ones.
He is the LORD our God;
his judgments are in all the earth.
He is mindful of his covenant forever,
of the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations,
the covenant that he made with Abraham,
his sworn promise to Isaac,
which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan
as your portion for an inheritance.”
Reflect
As I write this eVotion, I have just recently returned from attending the General Assembly of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church, which met concurrently with our sister denomination, the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America. It was a wonderful experience and time of gathering of family and friends. One of my favorite parts was the morning devotions. I loved to watch the room fill up with people. Everyone was present to lift up God’s name in praise while fellowshipping with one another.
God did not design us to be segregated into groups that look alike, but rather to worship God as a group that includes all people. We are to love God above all else, and one way we show that love is by loving others.
Pray
Lord, thank you for giving me the opportunity to love my neighbor, thereby showing my love for you. May you open my heart to love everyone, from every walk of life. Amen
Go with God.
