On July 3, 2020, the Center Interagency Team (CIT), met via ZOOM and voted to extend the closure of the Cumberland Presbyterian Center to the public through August 31, 2020, in accordance with the executive order of the governor of Tennessee. It should also be noted, mask requirements for public spaces have been put in place by both the city of Memphis and Shelby County due to the dramatic increase in the number of local COVID-19 cases.
Staff will continue working from home and all regular services to the denomination will continue as normally as possible. Some staff members will be allowed limited office hours to complete tasks which are difficult or impossible while working from home. Staff will be monitoring their voicemail and e-mail. Cumberland Presbyterian Resources will continue to service orders although there may be a delay in shipping.
