OPENING SENTENCES
—Revelation 19:6-7a
Then I heard what seemed to be the voice of a great multitude, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of mighty thunderpeals, crying out,
“Hallelujah!
For the Lord our God the Almighty reigns.
Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory.
—Tim Smith
CALL TO WORSHIP
—Isaiah 11:1-9
Leader: A shoot will come out from the stump of Jesse,
People: and a branch shall grow out of his roots.
Leader: The spirit of the Lord shall rest on him,
the spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the spirit of counsel and might,
the spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
People: His delight will be in the fear of the Lord.
Leader: He shall not judge by what his eyes see,
or decide by what his ears hear.
People: With righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth.
Leader: Righteousness and faithfulness
will be the belts around his waist.
Men: The wolf will live with the lamb,
the leopard with the kid,
Women: the calf and the lion and the fatling together,
and a little child shall lead them.
Men: The cow and the bear shall graze,
their young will lie down together;
and the lion will eat straw like the ox.
Women: The nursing child will play over the hole of the asp,
and the weaned child will put its hand on the adder’s den.
Leader: They will not hurt or destroy
on all my holy mountain;
People: For the earth will be full of the knowledge of the Lord
as the waters cover the sea.

—Revelation 4:8-11
Day and night without ceasing they sing,
“Holy, holy, holy,
the Lord God the Almighty,
who was and is and is to come.”
And whenever the living creatures give glory and honor and thanks to the one who is seated on the throne, who lives forever and ever, the twenty-four elders fall before the one who is seated on the throne and worship the one who lives forever and ever; they cast their crowns before the throne, singing,
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they existed and were created.”

CALL TO CONFESSION
—Revelation 20:11-12
Then I saw a great white throne and the one who sat on it; the earth and the heaven fled from his presence, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, great and small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Also another book was opened, the book of life. And the dead were judged according to their works, as recorded in the books.

PRAYER OF CONFESSION
Just and Righteous God, we know that we have sinned and broken your commands. We ask your forgiveness. Remove from the books the record of our selfish and rebellious acts. Help us to be the new creation that you call us to be. Help us love as you love and to care as you care. We ask this in the name of the King of Kings. Amen.

ASSURANCE OF PARDON
—Revelation 21:5-6
And the one who was seated on the throne said, “See, I am making all things new.” Also he said, “Write this, for these words are trustworthy and true.” Then he said to me, “It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty I will give water as a gift from the spring of the water of life.

AFFIRMATION OF FAITH
—Colossians 1:15-20
He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him. He himself is before all things, and in him all things hold together. He is the head of the body, the church; he is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead, so that he might come to have first place in everything. For in him all the fullness of God was pleased to dwell, and through him God was pleased to reconcile to himself all things, whether on earth or in heaven, by making peace through the blood of his cross.

INVITATION TO THE OFFERING
Christ the King gave up all he had to be our salvation. Now he asks us to give a portion of our wealth to help others. This church’s ministry is able to proclaim Jesus Christ is King because of the gifts we bring throughout the year. Let us with a gracious heart give of what God has entrusted to us.

—Revelation 22:12-13
See, I am coming soon; my reward is with me, to repay according to everyone’s work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end.
