Belle Mina United Methodist Church and Robert Donnell Presbytery will hold a celebratory worship service to give glory to God for the ministry of the Reverend Robert Donnell on May 20, 2023, 10:00 a.m. at the Old Brick Church in , Mooresville, Alabama. Donnell pastored two Cumberland Presbyterian churches and the United Methodist Church in the Mooresville, Alabama, area. Offering plates which have been in the old Mooresville Church will be presented to a representative from the Robert Donnell Presbytery at the service. Tours will be given of the old church in Mooresville, which is now a historic landmark, as well as the Robert Donnell House in Athens, Alabama.

Robert Donnell (1784-1855) was a prominent minister and theologian in the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. He was born in North Carolina, and moved to Kentucky at the age of seven. He was ordained as a Cumberland Presbyterian minister in 1813 and served in various pastoral roles in Kentucky, Tennessee, and Alabama. Donnell was known for his scholarship and his influential writings on theology.
