Carmalita Kitchen, 85, of Hardyville, Kentucky, died July 22, 2022. She was the oldest member of Clear Point Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Cumberland Presbytery) near Horse Cave, Kentucky.

The regularly scheduled fall meeting of West Tennessee Presbytery, which was supposed to take place at Dyer Cumberland Presbyterian Church, has been moved to First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Jackson, Tennessee, October 1, 2022.

The Synod of Great Rivers will hold a called meeting 11:00 AM September 24, 2022, at Faith-Hopewell Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Batesville, Arkansas. Presumably the call involved the division of West Tennessee Presbytery.

Paula Garner Darden, 86, of Camden, Arkansas, died August 26, 2022. She was a lifelong member of Sulphur Springs Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Arkansas Presbytery) where she served as church secretary and pianist. Shew was also founder of the church library.

Nelle Luckey Sparks, 101, of Martin, Tennessee, died August 28, 2022. She was a member of Martin Cumberland Presbyterian Church (West Tennessee Presbytery) and will be laid to rest in the Shiloh Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery near McKenzie, Tennessee.

Julie Gentry-Michaels, 60, of Scottsboro, Alabama, died unexpectedly August 22, 2022. A career educator, she was director of Mother’s Day Out at Scottsboro Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Robert Donnell Presbytery).

James Cantrell, 81, of Science Hill, Kentucky, died August 23, 2022. Best known as Jim, he was an elder at Leitchfield Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Cumberland Presbytery) where he taught Sunday school.
