Brandon Matlock Hayes of Clarksville, Tennessee, will receive Scouting’s Silver Beaver at a council recognition dinner scheduled for March 26, 2022, at Christ United Methodist Church in St. Matthews, Kentucky. Brandon is a 2016 graduate of Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, and the son of the Reverend Brian Hayes (Covenant Presbytery) and Ministry Council elected member Debbie Hayes. Brandon serves in the Four Rivers District of the Lincoln Heritage Council, Boy Scouts of America

The Silver Beaver recognizes adult volunteers for exceptional service to Scouting at the council level. The Silver Beaver Award was introduced in 1931 and is a council level distinguished service award of the Boy Scouts of America. Recipients of this award are registered Scouters who have made an impact on the lives of youth through service given to the council. A limited number of Silver Beaver awards are made each year.
