Tennessee State Parks announced April 3, 2020, all parks would be closed at least from April 4, 2020, through April 14, 2020, in support of Governor Bill Lee’s Executive Order 23. All park-hosted events are cancelled through at least April 15, 2020. For Cumberland Presbyterian, this means there will be no access to the Birthplace Shrine within Montgomery Bell State Park near Dickson, Tennessee, for the duration of the park closure. Although the site is managed by the Historical Foundation of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church and the Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America and is owned by the Cumberland Presbyterian denomination, there is no access to the Birthplace Shrine without crossing state property. Weddings and other events scheduled for the chapel during this time period have been cancelled.
