Billy David Shepard, 91, of Brownsboro, Alabama, died September 7,2022. An elder at Huntsville First Cumberland Presbyterian Church (Robert Donnell Presbytery), was born in Woodville, Alabama, in 1931, and grew up in Paint Rock. At Madison County High School, Billy lettered in football, basketball, and baseball every year from the eighth grade on. After graduation, he signed a full athletic scholarship with Bethel College (now Bethel University) in McKenzie, Tennessee, where he lettered not only in basketball but also football and baseball. He is a member of the Bethel University and Huntsville-Madison County (Alabama) Athletic Halls of Fame.
