Experience silence in the midst of your busy day. Take some time to relax into a time to be with God.

12 You will say on that day:
“I will give thanks to you, O Lord,
for though you were angry with me,
your anger turned away,
and you comforted me.
2 Surely God is my salvation;
I will trust and will not be afraid,
for the Lord is my strength and my might;
he has become my salvation.”
3 With joy you will draw water from the wells of salvation. 4 And you will say on that day:
“Give thanks to the Lord;
call on his name;
make known his deeds among the nations;
proclaim that his name is exalted.
5 Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously;
let this be known in all the earth.
6 Shout aloud and sing for joy, O royal Zion,
for great in your midst is the Holy One of Israel.”
Reflect
“I will trust and will not be afraid.” Easier said than done, am I right? We often tell ourselves or the people around us to not worry or be afraid. That all we have to do is trust the Lord. Sometimes, that is just hard to do.
Sometimes, we feel that God is mad at us or that nothing has been going right in our lives. You know what I’m saying. When we are in that, what we call, a rough patch. When small problems develop into other problems or bigger issues. Like a snowball that rolls down a mountain and grows with every inch that it travels.
As a father of two little girls that are full of energy, I have seen this feeling grow in real life time. It seems to usually happen when they are hungry or tired. Lord, save us all if they are both hungry and tired. I’ve seen a command from us to them turn into tears, turn into running off angry, turn in tripping over a toy, turn into a hurt knee, turn into mean words to a sibling, and more. Full melt down!
The thing to remember is that we have a God that loves us like children. No matter how angry we may be with them, by the time there is a meltdown, our love takes over and we nurture our children. God loves us and no matter what we do, we can find comfort in the arms of the Lord. Let’s sing a song of praise for that!
Pray
God we are so thankful for the way you love and comfort us. We will spend the day singing praises to you! Amen.
Go with God!
