2022:06:25: Attendees at General Assembly were informed on Wednesday morning that a commissioner had tested positive for COVID-19. The office of the General Assembly urged the use of masks for the duration of the meeting. While some commissioners complied, many did not. Since the original announcement, several other persons, including attendees of CPWM Convention, organizational representatives, and denominational employees tested positive for the virus.
Most recently, the Reverend Lisa Cook, chaplain at the Cumberland Presbyterian Birthplace Shrine in Montgomery Bell State Park near Dickson, Tennessee, has reported her exposure. In an abundance of caution, morning worship at the Birthplace Shrine for Sunday, June 25, 2022, has been cancelled.
