We are headed into the summer, with all the activities associated with it. Church camp season is upon us. Soon we will be preparing for CPYC at Bethel. Children’s Fest is coming back in person this summer.  Many churches will be joining together to do service projects and mission trips. We will also have General Assembly all the way in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Great fun will be had by all.

All these great activities will allow for various people and churches to join and work together to glorify God and serve our neighbors. It is also a time when we might experience some dissonance. Especially at General Assembly. I’m already praying for General Assembly and I encourage all of you to do the same. 

Our denomination has so many things which we join together and with one voice we glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. I give God thanks for these things too. A global church will have different thoughts and beliefs. The key to dealing with these differences is to seek the good of everyone with love and grace.  There will always be disagreements among us, but there doesn’t have to be anger and frustration toward each other. Let’s pray for harmony and follow those prayers with loving acts and gracious attitudes as we enter into this summer filled with ministry opportunities.
