Laurel Peeples Hisey, 92, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, best known as Lollie, died January 10, 2022. Trained in special education, Lollie had a passion for entertaining. She was in the University Players at the University of Tennessee Chattanooga and formed the Cumberland Players at First Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Chattanooga (Tennessee-Georgia Presbytery). As a scatter-brained, huge lopsided bosomed character, she performed at fund raisers and retirement parties to uproarious laughter and applause. After retirement, she attended Clown’s College in Florida and, as “Zig Zag,” entertained at schools, hospitals, senior centers, and public events.
