Each year during Homecoming week, Bethel University in McKenzie, Tennessee, honors individuals who have excelled as athletes, team members, coaches and staff, or contributors.
The 41st class was honored Saturday, November 7, 2021. Three great athletes, one contributor, and one team were inducted into the Hall of Fame in an event held in the Vera Low Student Center. Due to COVID-19, the 2020 class was also honored. With the combined classes, 104 individuals and six teams have now been enshrined in the Hall of Fame.
The 2021 honorees were Michele Cunha (volleyball), Johnathan Deberry (baseball), Nina Djokovic (basketball), Kerry McElhinney (booster), and the 2014-15 Bethel women’s basketball team. Honored in 2020 were Patience Opara (soccer), Ron Puckett (basketball), Ellen Argo (basketball), Dr. Deb Thompson (coach), and the 1991 Bethel men’s golf team.
