Following much reflection, discussion, and prayer we have decided to postpone The Symposium this year. Due to a lack of overall participation by the registration deadline, the planning team decided it would be poor stewardship of denominational resources to move forward with an in-person event. Additionally, we recognize that many, many people are experiencing “extreme zoom fatigue,” so we decided not to offer a limited, virtual option of the event.
The long-term vision was that The Symposium would grow in attendance to be an exciting, engaging leadership event for the denomination. We were well on our way to that reality following the premier event in November 2019. We still have that vision. With that in mind, please save the date of November 3-5, 2022, for The Symposium. It is our hope and fervent prayer that at that time we can truly “Come Together” to worship, learn, celebrate, and grow together in Christ Jesus.
If you made hotel reservations, please ensure that you cancel those today. While the hotel room blocks will be cancelled, you should ensure that specific reservation/s made by you are cancelled to avoid any charges.
