MMT Disaster Relief

We have talked with Dyllan Simmons, our Cumberland Presbyterian contact in Waverly. He stated that the volunteers are overwhelmed with the abundance of generous giving. He has asked that if you have gathered supplies to be donated to please hold them for a couple of weeks before delivering them. He also noted contacting him before delivering anything would be best.

Monetary donations are what is needed now. Through generous support of Our United Outreach, Missions Ministry Team can accept donations and reissue 100% of those funds back to their intended purposes. You may send a check marked, “TN Flooding,” to Missions Ministry Team, 8207 Traditional Place, Cordova, TN 38016.

Recovery will be long. If you or your church is thinking about going to help, please reach out to Kristi Lounsbury at klounsbury@cumberland.org or 901-276-4572, ext. 263. She is helping to field phone calls for Dyllan and coordinate with local people who oversee groups volunteering. The local people are working on a system to have some order to those who want to help.
